Medici
By decree of the Doge.
Copper pennies, silver groats and gold ducats as real items. A mint that strikes only what the daily decree allows, and a town of banks, shops, turnstiles, gondolas and painters to spend them in.
Enter the houseMoney is metal. You can hold it.
A penny is copper, a groat is silver (ten pennies), a ducat is gold (a hundred). Strike them at a powered mint press, carry them in a purse that makes change, find them on raiders and in drowned merchants' chests.
- Purses pick coins up and pay with change: leather, velvet, gilded.
- The Doge's medal and antique coins for collectors, appraised by the Banker.
- Every coin struck or burned goes through one ledger, so the town knows its money supply.
Pay with a purse
The purse picks the fewest coins and takes the change back. Nobody counts pennies by hand.
Everything on the counter. All 420 in the catalogue.
Banks that balance.Shops that make change.
Personal and house accounts in coin, transfers, letters of exchange sealed with your crest, and a double-entry ledger. Vending machines and market stalls sell, or buy, from stock your pipes fill, and keep the takings in the till.

Charge admission. To the thing you built.
Coin slots, turnstiles, ticket printers and gates open doors, rooms, gondolas and Create rides. Rent out chests by the day. Tickets name a venue and a day, and the gate checks both.
- A gondola linked to a venue takes that venue's tickets to board.
- CC:Tweaked computers hear every rider; start a carousel when four are in.
- SecurityCraft doors open only to a paid coin slot or gate.

The money keeps its worth.Even in All the Mods 10.
ATM10 makes gold by the stack. If an ingot always became two ducats, a ducat would buy nothing. So new coins only enter through the decree: a daily budget that shrinks as the town's money nears its target. Duties, the Banker and the arts take coins out again.
See the numbersLights down.Curtain up.
A merchant banker's house by night: the palazzo on the canal, the stalls and the gondola landing on the fondamenta, the water gate, the mint at its forge, coin counted by candlelight, the treasury heaped round the strongbox, the portego's art, the Artist's easel, a letter of exchange, and the pigeon post leaving the loggia. With sound.
Sit for a portrait.Hang it in the hall.
Commission the Artist: a sketch for five pennies, a masterpiece for twenty ducats. Portraits of you and your friends, busts and statues in marble, bronze or gilt, ceiling frescos with your faces in the clouds, and portrait medals struck at the mint.
- The price is the tier; chance decides the rest, and pity guarantees a masterwork.
- Your house's crest on gondola prows, banners and the seal of every letter.

Nine builds to start from. One command each.
Every one is made from Medici and vanilla blocks only. Place it with /medici showcase <name>, or print it with Create: each is a schematic too.
Faster than a courier.Cheaper than a galley.
Venetian rock doves come down on your campi in flocks, peck at the paving, drink at the wellheads and the lion fountains, and go up to the roofs when you run at them. Feed one seeds and now and then it stays. Bring it home to your dovecote, and it will carry a letter of exchange or a purse to any dovecote in the world, and come back for the next.
- One letter or one purse per pigeon. Not both. They have standards.
- Coins travel inside the purse. The pigeon does not open the purse. We asked.
- A block a tick, door to door: faster than any galley, slower than gossip.
- If the address has been knocked down, the pigeon brings your letter home and looks at you.
- Pigeons scatter when you run at them. Sneak. This is also true in Venice.
- Feeding pigeons in St Mark's Square has been fined since 2008. Here the Doge has more pressing matters.

14 families of blocks.Venice, one block at a time.
Istrian stone and Carrara marble, Venetian brick and marmorino plaster, terrazzo, gold mosaic, Gothic tracery, roof tiles, canal walls and mooring poles. Windows you can see through. Chipped, Rechiseled, Domum Ornamentum, FramedBlocks and connected textures all know them.

Questions at the counter.
Do I need All the Mods 10?
No. Medici needs only NeoForge 1.21.1. It is made for ATM10 and tested in it (540 mods), and every integration switches on by itself when its mod is there.
Is there a hidden balance or a /pay command?
No. Coins are items: in purses, strongboxes, tills and bank vaults. Bank accounts hold real coin stacks in the vault, and every coin ever struck or burned is in the ledger.
Won't a gold farm break it?
The furnace doesn't decide how many coins exist, the daily decree does. Gold by the stack only buys the metal; the mint strikes what the decree allows.
Can I sell to other players while I'm offline?
Yes: vending machines and market stalls sell (and buy) from stock your pipes fill, make change, and keep the takings in the till.
Does it work on servers and with FTB Teams?
Yes. A party team is a house with a shared mint allowance and a team account; customers can use your shops inside your FTB Chunks claim.
Can I feed the pigeons?
Please do. Venice has fined it since 2008; here the Doge has more pressing matters. Seeds tame a pigeon now and then, and a tame pigeon carries your letters and purses to any dovecote in the world.
Any gambling?
None. No loot boxes, no slot machines paying out coins. Antique coins turn up in chests and on raiders, and appraisals pay a fixed price.
